Untitled #6

You
want to try something new?
Try
hurling crowbirds at mockingbars
It’s
intense and it might make you cry,
But
it’s totally worth it
You
might open my mind to things I’ve never known
I
believe that
I
believe you and it’s about time someone does,
But
I’m gullible, maybe, and I’m sure you’ll have fun with that
I
know you’ll try either way
If I
give you the benefit of the doubt it might make it more sporting for you
You
only lie if it’s outrageous or really funny
And
I’m waiting to see what you come up with
I’m
awesome for liking it
You’re
awesome for showing it to me
Shove
it in my face and show me something new
Educate
me
It
feels like being in a dive bar listening to Tom Waits,
Nothing
but a gallon of Whiskey and a carton of Lucky Strikes for company
Does
this chit chat get the creative juices flowing?
Maybe
you’ll write something new tonight
Your
emotional week is now over
You
can tell me all about it
Tell
me about your habit of caring for people
People
who then abandon you
I
will do this to you, but that’s much later
I
hope it doesn’t make you physically sick when it happens
I
hope you understand what happened
You
can only run from the skeletons in the closet for so long
I
fucked up
Now
I’m here and you’re not
Further
from you than I want to be
Trying
to figure out how to change that
Stupid
drama
You’re
going to get hurt
No
way around it
Trying
to give everyone the same care and attention
Stop
and learn
Be
more cautious
Slow
down when opening up to others
Piling
loneliness and misery on top of pain
I
have some advice that doesn’t really work
Give
me a Gold Star and I’ll talk to you later,
But
I don’t want to bug you
You’ll
tell me if I do
You
prefer straight honesty
That’s
what I’ll give you, but only for a minute
Only
until those skeletons get their claws in me
Now,
my name is Frank and I good you bid evening
While
I pretend to get on with my life
My
hands still bent on carving out your curves
On
my burning bridge, I’ll hold my ground with an AK47
Haven’t
you heard an AK47?
It’s
become the soundtrack of my life
Haven’t you heard?
