In the beginning
The beginning is
always the best
When things first
start with someone new
Exploring each other
Learning each other
Watching the phone
like a hawk
Waiting for some word
Some contact
Anything that will
let you know,
That they are
thinking about you,
Just as much as you
are thinking about them
It borders on
insanity
Heartsick insanity
It fades
Eventually
Then what?
No one knows for sure
There is no SOP
There is no guiding
light
It’s the blind
leading the blind
