You Don’t
Write

You
don’t write when we are happy
I
can’t believe you said that
I
write about the good times,
But
only to remember them
I
write about the bad times,
But
only to say what I couldn’t
You’ve
never tried to help me write in the good times
You
just complain that I am not giving you attention
You’ve
never helped me write in the bad times
You
just complain that I make you look like an asshole
You
don’t write about me
You’ve
never shared with me what’s in those notebooks
I
don’t write when we are happy
Give
me a reason
I’ll
write about us
I
could write about how much I desire you next to me
There
could be something written about how you make me feel
The
good times, how they once outnumbered the bad
The
bad times, that now are more common than the good
It’s
a low spot, so I’ll write about that
I
might write about you not caring
Maybe
you should write
Write
me something that tells me what to write
You
don’t write either
