Unsaid

Unsaid

By
Nathan Caleb Camerer

Should I bite my tongue?
I’m sick, but it’s not just the blood I’m swallowing
Things said wrong
Things said right
I can’t tell the difference
I know what I should say, but I’ll bite my tongue
I’ll stay sick, but not just from the blood I’ve swallowed
It’s too late
It’s too early
Talking in circles and beating dead horses
To much talk about the past
Not enough talk about the future
My tongue is sore
I’ve swallowed too much blood
I’ve been sick for too long
Verbal vomit is my style
Emotional vomit is not
I’m not a Genie, but you might be so I’ll kill this bottle of Rum
Numb my tongue
Wash down the blood
Say the unsaid
