Lost and Found

Nothing shows,
But fingertips and nose
When I wear the love you gave me
More comfortable in just my skin
Covered in sin
And truly shows what you've made of me
Living in this box of lost and found
In the alley behind a house of spiders
Right where I was left,
But not where I belong
I know this music
It's put me to sleep before
While dancing in your sheets
Laying beneath a canopy of electric stars
I made a wish each night
Always on the same star
The one Northeast of your heart
And intertwined with another
But your hands are full of responsibility
And my wishes fell on deaf ears
Living is easy in this box of lost and found
Where I was left,
But not where I belong
Even though this Winter of Sam is giving me the cold shoulder
Long nights laying my head on the cold ground
I use my daydreams for a pillow
Seems better than a door mat,
But I'm no expert on matters of the heart
Even though mine pumps you through my veins
I need a water tank to wash this stench of heartbreak off of me
There's not a shower in this box of lost and found
The box that I call home
Hiding beneath this balcony I want to be on
A birds eye view of where I was and where I came from
I have a blanket for the chilly air,
But it’s full of holes
A broken pen and dirty pad with which to write,
But you have to read between the lines
I have sunglasses to shade my eyes at night
When the nights get too bright
Lost and found is where I live
Lost and found in this box full of others wasted time
Living in this alley
The one behind the house of spiders
Right where I was left,
But not where I belong
