Courage

It
takes courage and control to let yourself go
Let
go and let the little things in
Little
things that weigh more than the big
Fat
and happy and 172 pounds of love and affection
When
I stand up straight,
My
lips are the perfect height for planting kisses on your forehead
They
grow like ivy and become smile lines around your mouth and eyes
These
wire thin arms are the perfect length to wrap around you
Forming
a circle where my heart is your soundtrack
My
breathing is your rocking chair
It
takes courage and control to let yourself go
Let
go and build a home inside the four walls of my ribcage
I’ll
build one inside yours
It’ll
take courage and control to let go
Let
go of ties that bind us to our pasts
Watch
two homes become one
Foundations
made of blood, sweat and tears
It
takes courage and control to let go
Let
go of the true to try and find the uncertain
Left
with courage and longing
Walking
an unknown road toward nothing
Lips
kissing air
Arms
emptied of their precious anchor
Ears
feeling deaf with no songs to fill them
Vacancy
in this heart
Longing
for completion is this foundation
It
takes courage and control to let yourself go
It takes and courage and
control to let go
