I’ve got a secret to tell

But I’ll tell you in another life

Another life when we are both cats

When we can just lay around

Soaking up the sun

A secret that wouldn’t be

If we could have had a random encounter

Bump into each other buying bread

Maybe about a year ago

Maybe about a year from now

This encounter could still happen

Life as we know it could change

It could change for the better

Better for both of us

Maybe we’d be more like monkeys

Cleaning each other

More reliant on each other

Not as self sufficient as cats

It doesn’t matter

We could just be

We could just be one

One heart

One mind

In another life

In another life when we are both cats

Laying around

Cleaning ourselves

Soaking up the sun

A life as lovers

Partners

Maybe a pack of dogs

Dependent on each other

Together

Always together
